Hello 2018! I was trying to come up with some fun New Year resolutions and I think my favorite one is trying to get my daughter to eat more vegetables! I am really looking forward to this year, fingers crossed it is going to be a good one.
It's that time of year again! We are just putting the finishing touches on our bi-annual trends workshop and let me tell you - this one is a good one! Starting Monday November 27th we will open the classroom for two weeks. It's fill with inspiring trends for Winter 2018/19, information about licensing for the holiday market, drawing sheets to help generate ideas, drawing prompts for everyone to follow along as well as interviews from industry professions - the newest one with Lizzy Doyle of Lizzy Dee Studio!
There are two live sessions; Dec 4 and Dec 11 - where we will have a group video critique. This is one of my favorite parts of the workshop, getting to share everyone's amazing work and hearing constructive feedback from your peers. Does it get better than that?
We have also created a unique drawing challenge with daily prompts that will help you create new work and grow your portfolio - perfect for posting on your social media for those holiday countdowns.
I hope you will join us! It's going to be so much fun!
Well, this is exciting news! Phoebe no. 2, which is titled Not 'Til Tomorrow, Phoebe is coming out March 15, 2018 (which also happens to be my daughter's birthday!)!!
I absolutely loved creating the illustrations for this sweet story - I cannot wait to show you more of the interior drawings, but you'll just have to wait closer to release date! In the meantime, it is available for pre-order on Amazon. Woot!
On December 2nd we open the doors to our Winter Trends mini workshop. Sabina and I felt there is a need for illustrators and designers to create more work for the holiday market, so we put together this two week workshop with Trends for the 2017/18 year. The winter holiday market holds incredible opportunities to license and sell graphics for greeting cards, wrapping paper, gifts, and clothing.
We packed two full weeks of inspiration, interviews and exciting materials. Check out the class sign up page for more information! We are looking forward to this one!
